The East Shore District Health Department (ESDHD) offers both undergraduate and graduate internship opportunities in our various programs.

We aim to offer student interns a well-rounded public health internship. We pride ourselves on offering student-centered, practical experiences within the student’s area of specialization, under the guidance of an experienced health department preceptor or mentor.

We aim to ensure that each student-intern:

• Develops increased levels of confidence
• Refines knowledge and skills
• Is provided the opportunity to work hands-on within the communities we serve
• Learns about all of the programs that we offer

This results in the student-intern receiving valuable exposure to a wide range of public health opportunities!
