DESCRIPTION:We will be tabling at the Soundview YMCA Healthy Kid’s Day with various resources available. \nWe will be hosting 2 Gizmo’s Pawesome Guide to Mental Health read along sessions. \n\nGizmo\, the mascot for the CT suicide prevention campaign- “1 WORD\, 1 VOICE\, 1 LIFE…Be the 1 to start the conversation\,” uses a warm and fuzzy approach to introduce youth to what can be a challenging subject for adults to discuss and for youth to understand. There will be a read along session and afterwards the kids and their trusted adult will take a mental health pledge followed by a dance party. Each child will receive a book to bring home with them.
